Karen is the founder of Strategic Performance Systems LLC, a company devoted to coaching people how to identify and achieve their life’s dreams, and the popular Wine Women & Wellness™ seminar series. She is the author of an upcoming book titled Re-Engineer Your Wellness Program: Making Results Stick.
Karen holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh where she received the Outstanding Senior Industrial Engineer Award. A graduate of the University Associates Human Resources Development Programs, she has completed postgraduate work at Pitt, West Virginia University, Regis University, and the Gestalt Psychotherapy Institute for Professional Studies. Karen is certified as a coach and trainer in the Healthy Edge and Healthy for Life programs and in sports nutrition. She has been a guest speaker for the U.S. Air Force Academy, community colleges, fitness centers, universities, professional associations, school athletic programs and business councils and has been interviewed on television and radio nationwide on topics such as women in science, personal transformation and wellness. She was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver Institute for Strategic Studies, managing partner Focused Change International, and held various positions at Procter & Gamble, Westinghouse and Coors.

Diagnosed with cancer at age 49, Karen has a special interest in mind-body integrated approaches to health care and is passionate about making a measurable impact in the current health crisis in our country. Her unique coaching approach and personal experiences with living a healthy lifestyle allows Karen to assist her clients to achieve breakthrough results in looking and feeling their best. She is a mother and wife and lives in the beautiful mountains west of Golden, Colorado.
